Details on the Tnpp Tab for Users / Pagers in the NTpage Administrator.

NOTE: You only need to enter information here if the paging service you selected for this user is using TNPP as the paging protocol.

These are special parameters that are needed by the TNPP paging protocol that are specific to each user.

Pager Function - The function code is common to the CAP page and ID page data blocks. Consult with your paging company to determine the value to place in this field.

Pager Type - This is the second field in the CAP page block and it describes the pager signaling code scheme. Consult your paging company to determine the value to place in this field.

Dest ID - This is the TNPP destination ID or address. Consult your paging company to determine the value to place in this field.

RF Channel - The RF channel designator is a one-byte field of the format of 01ABCDEF where bits ABCDEF is the binary channel code at the destination system. Consult your paging company to determine the value to place in this field.

RF Zone - The RF zone designator is a one-byte field of the format 01ABCDEF where the code ABCDEF is the binary zone ID on the selected channel. Consult your paging company to determine the value to place in this field.

Pager Class - This is the third data field in the CAP page block and it describes the message encoding class of the pager. Consult your paging company to determine the value to place in this field.
